Bilibili Announces Copyright Cooperation with JVR Music

Bilibili, a YouTube-like web platform in China, announced on Saturday that it had reached a copyright cooperation deal with JVR Music. The companies would cooperate in the release of Jay Chou’s new MV at 12:00 a.m. on July 6 and have already started taking viewing reservations.

JVR Music is a music entertainment brand co-founded by Jay Chou, Vincent Fang and Yang Junrong. The company is dedicated to creating high-quality Chinese music, and has music works related to singers such as Yuan Yonglin, Qiu Kaiwei, Ye Huaipei, Pai Weijun and Cao Yang. Not long ago, JVR released a documentary about Jay Chou’s new song, and announced the release of his newest album “Greatest Work” on July 15 this year. It has jointly launched a themed publicity stunt called “Each Sings One Jay Chou’s Song” with Bilibili.

JVR has opened accounts on Weibo, Kuaishou and Douyin, and now on Bilibili. At present, the first video on Bilibili is Jay Chou’s “Give Me The Time For One Song”. Other content includes a preview of Jay Chou’s newest single, as well as the 4K restored versions of the songs “Give Me The Time For One Song” and “Dao Xiang”.

According to Bilibili‘s 1Q2022 financial report, the number of platform creators grew while the number of monthly active uploaders reached 3.8 million, up 75% year-on-year. The number monthly active users reached 12.6 million, up 63% year-on-year. And in Q1, the average daily active users in Bilibili reached 79.4 million, up 32% year-on-year, the average MAU reached 293.6 million, up 31% year-on-year, and the mobile-end MAU reached 276.4 million, up 33% year-on-year. The average daily usage time of users reached 95 minutes, registering a record high.
