The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China took the crown as the world’s biggest public companies, according to the latest Global 2000 list released by Forbes in May 2021.
The list has measured the world’s largest public companies in terms of four equally weighted metrics: assets, market value, sales and profits. The threshold for the 2021 ranking was $8.26 billion, up from $5.27 billion in 2020.
