BYD Song Pro DM-i Released, 1090 Kilometers of Battery Life
On Wednesday evening, Chinese EV maker BYD launched its newest entrant into the EV market, the Song Pro DM-i. The vehicle is available in five different models, all of which are priced between 134,800 and 159,800 yuan. The maximum power of the motor is divided into two versions, 132kW and 145kW.
Song Pro DM-i’s pure electric battery life is divided into two gears, 51km and 110km respectively. The 51km version has a peak torque of 316N · m, a battery capacity of 8.3 kWh, and an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds. The 110km version has a peak torque of 325N · m, a battery capacity of 18.3 kWh, and an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Inside of the car, the Song Pro DM-i is shipped with a standard 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 12.8-inch central control screen (only for top version). Many functions in the car can be controlled by voice while many configurations, such as adaptive cruise, active braking and lane departure warning, are available on all models except the lowest tier.
The Song Pro DM-i will be equipped with a 1.5L DM-i hybrid system with a maximum power of 81kW and a peak torque of 135 N · m. It is equipped with a permanent-magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) and a proprietary blade battery, which work together to help reduce overall energy consumption.
At the press conference, BYD said that the cumulative sales volume of the three DM-i super hybrid models has exceeded 200,000 units, which are widely praised by consumers.
